The Dam Pub

The Dam Pub

Our passion for pub-style hospitality...Sandy and Gord owned a home in northeastern Scotland until February 2007 so they know how central the local pub is to a community (there’s a pub for every 1,000 souls in that bonnie wee land). Their vision was to take all the things they love about pubs there and embody them in a traditional Scottish whisky pub back on home soil.

They searched through listings on the Internet and found the ideal home for their establishment – Thornbury’s landmark “White House on the Hill.” Its Victorian air and cozy interior exude just the charm people look for in a pub. We opened our doors to our neighbours and visitors in December, 2005.
